ISP Ambassadors
Who are the ISP Ambassadors?
The ambassadors are four friendly, accomplished and experienced ISP students who will welcome you to our program in the beginning of the semester and continue to support you throughout. The ambassadors’ mission is to help new students feel at home in ISP, familiarize them with our teaching style and help strengthen our community. For that purpose, the ambassadors organize a welcome lunch and different Community Hour events and workshops during the semester.
I'm Judith Boza! I am majoring in Law & Society with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies at John Jay College. I moved to New York City in August 2022, and since then, I have gotten involved in some great programs and clubs at John Jay, like Mock Trial, Legally Conscious, and, of course, ISP! Being an out-of-state student, ISP has been a lifesaver, making my transition from South Florida to the city a breeze. Through ISP, I've met some incredible students and professors who've made my first year here fantastic. Now, as an ambassador, I can't wait to lend a hand to fellow out-of-state students who share my passion for law and advocacy. I am genuinely proud of all that ISP stands for, and I hope to be a solid support system for my peers in the program as we continue to expand and elevate the program together.
Hello! I’m Micayla Williams-McCree
(micayla.williams-mccree@jjay.cuny.edu)
I am majoring in Forensic Psychology with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies. As an out-of-state student from Detroit, I can testify that ISP has truly been a home-away-from-home. The close-knit community within the program has helped me form long-lasting friendships and create strong connections with professors, who are not only mentors but also advocates for students' success. Being in ISP has been instrumental in building my confidence and my ability to problem-solve and think critically. I believe ISP accurately represents John Jay's commitment to creating meaningful change by shaping students into fierce advocates for change.
Hi, my name is Zamama Hanif (zamama.hanif@jjay.cuny.edu). I’m currently a junior at John Jay majoring in Criminology with minors in anthropology and ISP. I’m also pursuing a certificate in Dispute Resolution. ISP has been one of the best things I’ve been able to be apart of and participate because of the amount of opportunities and growth it offers with the help of professors and advisors. ISP classes in general have been my favorite because they’re so welcoming and inclusive, making it easier to digest the knowledge being presented. Becoming an ISP ambassador allows me to be apart of the welcoming of the incoming graduate class, and be a helping hand when needed!
Hi! I’m Adonis Pippis (adonis.pippis@jjay.cuny.edu). I’m a Forensic Psychology major with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies and Art. ISP gives me the freedom to express myself through creative projects and allows me to express my opinions without judgment. It has helped me to become a more well-rounded person when thinking about the world. ISP classes challenge pre-existing perceptions and teach critical thinking and public speaking skills. More than anything, the program has made it easy for me to make friends. As an ISP ambassador, I aim to welcome all those who need a sense of community in college and to help people feel more comfortable at John Jay.
