OIR supports John Jay College's mission and vision by striving to achieve the following goals:

1. Timely and accurate reporting to enhance student success efforts and initiatives, support the work of faculty and staff, improve organizational effectiveness and operations, and document compliance, benchmarking, and comparative studies.

2. Elevate the College’s culture of evidence and information-based decision making and planning by facilitating and supporting intra-college collaboration designed to achieve the College’s mission, goals, and vision.
