Quardear Harris

Quardear Harris is an alumnus of John Jay College of Criminal Justice Class of 2019. He majored in Criminal Justice Management and doubled minored in Human Services and Security Management earning a Bachelor of Science with Honors. During his academic tenure Quardear was a CUNY Service Corps Member of Cohort 5; inducted into the National Criminal Justice Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership & Success where he served on the executive board. He is the recipient of the Dean's List Achievement Award and CUNY Service Corps Spirit Award. 

Since graduating from John Jay College Quardear has served 2 terms as a NYC Civic Corps Member and 1 term as a City Corps Member. Which are AmeriCorps program run by NYC Service, a division of the Office of the Mayor. He served as a NYC Civic Corps member at Project Sunshine, working to increase their organizational capacity to engage volunteers and build sustainable volunteer initiatives. Quardear served again as a Second Year NYC Civic Corps Member at the Museum of Food and Drink to build, develop, and grow stronger volunteer programs by recruiting, managing, and engaging volunteers. Lastly, he served as a City Service Corps Member at the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), Citywide Equity & Inclusion (CEI) Office of Citywide Recruitment (OCR) to build partnerships with external organizations and participate in various recruitment events across all five boroughs to promote City government jobs and share information about the examination process to increase applicant base.

Quardear earned a Master of Science in Human Resource Management. He is an alumnus of Stony Brook University Class of 2023. He was able to start his NYC Government Career with NYC Service AmeriCorps as a City Service Corps Member at DCAS. Which propelled him into serving as a Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Office of Human Resources at NYC Administration for Children’s Services. Quardear aspires to become a Deputy Commissioner of HR for a city agency or C-level HR executive in the private sector.
